eSwitch Zambia Limited trading as ”Zamlink” was registered with the registrar of companies in 2002. The company was officially launched in November 2005 when it started full operations.
Zamlink is an electronic transaction management company whose primary focus of attention is switching and settling secure shared financial transactions for its member banks and any third-party Institutions.
It is an initiative setup to facilitate a national switching infrastructure shared by banks and other approved third party financial institutions to support and manage a network of ATMs and POS terminals and route transactions to the appropriate bank/institution.
The company also installs, configures, and supports ATMs for its member and had initially run its own network of ATMs.
